SYDNEY, Wednesday 13 May 2020: The Tax Institute today officially launches their partnership with Aon with a series of risk and insurance webinars to support their members during the current volatile economic landscape.

As one of The Tax Institute’s major partners, Aon will work closely with its members to offer a broad range of risk and insurance programs, which can cover both the practitioner's own businesses and include solutions where practitioners are the risk and insurance decision makers on behalf of clients. The Tax Institute and Aon recently announced their strategic partnership, expanding and strengthening Aon’s focus on finance professionals in Australia.

Starting on May 20, The Tax Institute and Aon will present the first of three exclusive webinars for members on managing and mitigating risk. The first event discusses managing cyber risk in the digital world.

In launching the first of a series of membership webinars on risk and insurance, The Tax Institute’s CEO Giles Hurst commented, “While working in these historic times, managing and mitigating cyber risk should be a top priority for tax advisers.  This is especially prevalent as so many firms have had to quickly move their teams into a remote working environment due to COVID-19”.

Lisa Henderson, Managing Director, Affinity at Aon, said she was excited to expand the existing relationship with The Tax Institute to offer a long-lasting, collaborative risk and insurance value offering to The Tax Institute’s members.

"Our common industry and risk characteristics mean our partnership is strategically aligned and ensures the risk and insurance solutions we offer resonates with The Tax Institute’s members. We are delighted to support The Tax Institute’s members and we are committed to further growing our suite of programs and strengthening our capabilities across this increasingly crucial industry in Australia," said Lisa Henderson.

“The Tax Institute and Aon are committed to supporting tax and finance professionals in helping them to find their competitive edge. We want to provide clients with expertise in order to mitigate risk through informed decision making.” said Giles Hurst, CEO, The Tax Institute. “Together we will be able to offer our valued members broader and deeper risk and insurance content. We look forward to a ground-breaking three-year partnership with Aon and it’s a partnership we are sure will endure beyond this initial agreement,” he continued.
