SYDNEY, Friday, 27 March 2020: The Tax Institute has welcomed the temporary lifting of the 25% reading cap for CPE by the Tax Practitioners Board.

“Allowing flexibility in how registered agents meet their CPE requirements is crucial in the current challenging environment.” said Tax Institute President Peter Godber.

“Maintaining ongoing CPE requirements for all tax professionals is critical, even while we are being tested at present with our resources. The Tax Practitioners Board’s response to this is pragmatic and sensible.”
